Dobber Classic 2016

CFAX Santas Anonymous is grateful to Jim Pattison Lexus Victoria and the organizing committee of the 23rd annual Dobber Classic golf tournament! June 3 was a beautiful day to be outdoors, and everyone had a fantastic time at Cedar Hill Golf Course.

Thank you to everyone who come out to support Santas Anonymous, have fun, and make the 2016 Dobber Classic another great success!

Al Ferraby’s $21 for 21km

Al-and-Santa-Bear

Support CFAX 1070 morning host (and Santas Anonymous board member) Al Ferraby as he once again runs the half marathon on behalf of our Society. Al’s goal is to raise $100 for every km of the race!

On Friday, May 27, listen to Al’s show on CFAX 1070 and call in from 6-9am to pledge your support.

You can also donate online at Al’s $21 for 21km fundraising page on CanadaHelps.com, any time between now and July 29, 2016.

Kids 1k Fun Run Challenge

We’re looking for children under the age of 14 to participate in the Kids 1k Fun Run Challenge as members of our Kidz Helping Kids team. Contact us at volunteer@cfaxsantas.com or 250-920-4644 to get involved.

Just like Al Ferraby, we’re asking Kidz Helping Kids team members to collect donations on behalf of Santas Anonymous, but there’s no minimum amount required.

Learn how to quickly and easily set up a fundraising page at CanadaHelps.com, with “CFAX Santas Anonymous Society” as your selected charity. You’ll be able to send your page to others online, share it on social media, and see how much you’ve raised for Santas Anonymous. And since everything goes through CanadaHelps.com, you don’t have to worry about collecting the money in person.

Thank You Notes: mall volunteers

Santa Bear poses with two volunteers at a Tree of Wishes display

Our mall volunteers keep the donations rolling in throughout our Christmas Hamper program.

We’re celebrating National Volunteer Week with thank you notes! Check back throughout the week of April 11-15 for new messages from our team leaders to the volunteers with whom we work.

April 12, 2016

To our Tree of Wishes mall volunteers:

I would like to firstly thank the Mall Leads who contribute countless hours before and during the Tree of Wishes campaign to make sure that our volunteers are scheduled and trained, ensuring that all of our malls are properly staffed. Our mall leads are important front-line leaders in this huge army of volunteers.

A huge thank you to every Tree of Wishes volunteer who gives their time to do numerous shifts at the malls. Your welcoming, friendly faces are our greatest asset when it comes to meeting the public and explaining the work that Santas Anonymous does.

Your passion in giving your time and efforts in a meaningful way in order to improve the lives of those less fortunate is truly inspiring, and I am humbled by it.

Thank you for volunteering your time, I am honoured to have met every one of you.
