April 10-16, 2016
It’s National Volunteer Week in Canada! We say this all of the time, but it’s worth stating once again:
CFAX Santas Anonymous wouldn’t succeed without our amazing volunteers.
Santas Anonymous is working harder than ever to serve children and families in the Greater Victoria Area who are living with poverty, and we couldn’t do it without the support of hundreds of people donating their time and energy throughout the year.
We are proud to announce the recipient of our 2016 Volunteer of the Year Award, and it’s none other than Santa Bear!
Santa Bear works tirelessly from January through December, attending events and activities on behalf of our Society, and partnering with other members of the Victoria mascot community to bring smiles, hugs, and high fives to children–from the very young to the young at heart. We love what Santa Bear does for Santas Anonymous, and we hope you do, too!
In addition to Santa Bear, we are also pleased to recognize a number of dedicated people with our 2016 Volunteer Recognition awards, including:
- Michael Bath
- Robyn Byrne
- Lynda Clarke
- Lester Chan
- Kerry Frazer
- Bronwen LeBlanc
The impact of these six people can be felt throughout our organization, from their efforts in our workshop to the connections we build and maintain with our community. We are grateful for everything they do on behalf of Santas Anonymous.
Thank you to all of our award recipients, and to the thousands of people who have volunteered on our behalf over the past four decades!
