Dear CFAX Santas Anonymous Volunteers,
National Volunteer Week (April 6-12, 2014) is a time to recognize, celebrate, and thank Canada’s 13.3 million volunteers. CFAX Santas Anonymous is grateful for the fantastic support we receive from our volunteers, including our 14-member Board of Directors, over 400 registered volunteers who contribute to our programs and events, and all of the people who organize their own fundraising initiatives on behalf of our Society.
Some of you began volunteering this past year, while others have been with us for more than three decades, and we are thankful for all of your efforts. You are the heartbeat of Santas Anonymous, dedicated to making an impact in the lives of our local children.
A child registered in our Christmas Hamper program may never know who was behind the special gift that made a difference in their life. The gift that was dreamed about and seemed unreachable—the gift you helped make possible—becomes a memory that can last for a lifetime.
Similarly, children who benefit from projects funded by our Special Grants program learn of a community that cares about the future. Your hard work makes these gifts possible, enabling Santas Anonymous to support enhanced learning in the classroom, safer playgrounds, and programs that emphasize literacy, special needs, and life-building skills.
We are grateful to each and every one of you for your gifts of time, skill, and connections, all of which have made Santas Anonymous the success it is today. You are creative, skilled, dedicated, motivated, and caring people who work together to create a message of hope and kindness for less-fortunate children and their families, year round.
Christine Hewitt, Executive Director
